I have been playing around with DOSBox-X under Windows and FreeDOS for the last few days. Everything seems to work and I got as far as getting networking to work. There seems to be good documentation and support within FreeDOS for running on VirtualBOX and QEMU but I didn't find much regarding DOSBox-X, but that may be because the FreeDOS wiki is currently unavailable and there may be something there that I haven't seen. Anyway, I tried to keep good notes and recorded everything here:
