Hi Daniel . Wait a second.
Did you write to Peter Norton ?
I'm a Peter Norton fan. I thought he was retired; he's now in his 80s.
I have a few of his books. I learned Assembly with one of his books.
I've been searching YouTube, Google, and other sites for a while to learn
more about him, but I

Ok guys, I will do it . Ok, tomorrow morning I will send it ( here is time
to sleep now ), and I will send it to anyone who wants help. To be honest,
this is a huge challenge for me . I have some knowledge on ASM,C , MSDOS (
int21 calls ...) and now I'm studying a book about how to develop a kernel
Hi.
I was playing with "debug" , just writing asm code and asking to chatgpt to
try enabling the external VGA by hand but I only got a freezing
computer.
Maybe this is a huge challenge to solve.

Thank you for your answer Liam . I tried that , but it seems to work only
if it is running with an OS ( VGA Drivers Loaded)
On Windows or Linux loaded that works.
There is no way to clone the screen without that . So , I will forget it.
Thank to all for your help.

Hi Franco. Yes, I can turn on the computer with the laptop lid closed and
the vga conected to the screen, but I have the same problem.
Thank you for your answer. Really the laptop screen is too small and this
is unconfortable.

Hi all. I have an old laptop , HP Mini ( exactly this one : hp mini
"hstnn-i70c" ) . I installed FreeDos on it but my surprise was when I
plugged it in to an external monitor by VGA that did not turn on.
Even I closed the laptop waiting it will recognize the external VGA. But
nothing happened.

Hi everyone:
I'm just suffering a "retro computing nostalgic crisis" :) ( I need to jump
outside of my daily job routine ) and I had bought some old books since I
was a teeneger ( 2001 ) about DOS Programming , all related to INT 21h
calls and DOS Programming. Years ago I made some small things wi
Hi Eric.

Hi Eric.
Thank you for your answer.
Yes. I was taking a look and I discovered I needed some old tools ( I had
old Software ,All Borlands , Tams , MS Assembler all versions but we can
get it from Internet I guess ) .
Reading some documentation on kernel repository ( Github), I saw a file

Hi , I'm studing Operative Systems . I was trying to compile FreeDos but
looks like a hard job, I think I can do it but maybe exists some tool with
all already done on it, and just doing some command all is compiled.
So , that is my question. Thank you guys.
