https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Flashing_BIOS_from_Linux section 4 seems to indicate while booted to FreeDOS one can extract a BIOS file from a "Windows" .EXE file. Can this be true, even when the .EXE file viewed in a plain text viewer includes the string "This program cannot be run in DOS mode.
