I am DISMAYED by some of the recent comments on this board

First, I use and recommend JEMM386/JEMMEX with my UIDE and

Hi everybody,
I agree that there is some controversy about EMM386 versus JEMM386
and JEMMEX... Basically the former had a focus on careful testing,
while the latter has a focus on "if it is cool for Japheth, it is
also likely to be enjoyed by other users". So the J drivers indeed
are more modern
I had already told Eric that this was useless...

I didn’t upgrade to kernel 2040 yet, but I’m going to do it soon.
Is it possible to download and install some beta version? I often see mentions
of 1.1 on the internet, but there is no link to download it from freedos.org,
and I’m not brave enough to download it fr

Dear all!
I’m trying to install FreeDOS (fdbasecd.iso) on a real (not virtual) machine
for the first time, and I’ve met some problems. At first I couldn’t install
FreeDOS at all, despite it was installed on VirtualBox flawlessly. Installation
went well, no errors or warnings, and after the fina
