I think my PC doesn't even get to the point where it loads anything
from the CD. The BIOS displays a message that the CD is not bootable.
It might have something to do with the problem that old PCs use
CD emulation boot and it was somehow disabled since RC1.

D-powerd does not adjust the voltage settings of the VGA and
always runs it at full power. This heats up the CPU additionally.
I have a small script that automatically adapts the CPU speed, so it
stays below 75°C while compiling big things. Optionally one can set the
CP
kpad. And
you should stress this when talking on the hotline or they send you
DIMMs with equal FRU number.

Steps to reproduce:
1) On FreeBSD/amd64, compile re(4) support into a STABLE kernel.
2) Add if_re_load="YES" to /boot/loader.conf.
3) Reboot.
What happens?
After loading the kernel image, re(4) module is about to be loaded
and the mac
s shared with my VGA-card, but showed exactly the same
symptoms.
The high interrupt load is not being reported like e.g. an interrupt
storm on lpt. The system is simply slowed down.
