Hi All
I just ran freebsd-update to upgrade from 7.0 to 7.4 I figured
everything went ok. This is what I did.
1. freebsd-update upgrade -r 7.4-RELEASE
2. freebsd-update install
3. shutdown -r now
4. freebsd-update install
5. shutdown -r now
The system came back up ok but now if I run another
I'm having a problem enabling gssapi support in bind 9.5 under FreeBSD
7. I now think it may be something related to freebsd. Even if I force
the path in the Makefile with the entry
--with-gssapi=/usr/include/gssapi.h /usr/include/gssapi/gssapi.h, I
still get

Hi All
I installed FBSD 8 and got some jails up using the instructions in the
handbook. My question is this. Do you still have to use the alias IP
address on the host that you want the jail to have?
Example: I want my jail to have ip address 192.168.2.5
I put these entries in rc.conf on the host
me.

Yes, that jail_www_interface="vr0" entry worked just fine. Thank you.

Hi All
I wonder if anyone could help me with this problem. I followed the
instructions in the handbook to create some jails. It makes part of
the filesystem readonly which is good. Problem is though that I tried
installing syslog-ng in one of the jails and when I tried to start it,
I got this error
g_ng_config="-u daemon"
syslog_ng_pid="/var/run/syslog-ng.pid"

Hi All
I have two servers, one running apache and squirrelmail in a jail.
Squirrelmail on this server is trying to contact dovecot running imaps
on port 993 on another server and failing. When I try from another
physical machine it works but I would prefer to run this service from
within a jail.
Yes I can connect over telnet. If I even do openssl s_client -connect
:993 I can also connect and list my mail. The machine is
running FreeBSD 8 by the way.

Hi All
Honestly, I am not sure if this post belongs over in a Bind Mailing List
but I will ask just the same to see if anyone has seen this problem. I
upgraded from Bind 9.9x to bind910-9.10.3P4 on FreeBSD-9.3-RELEASE-p33.
During the installation from ports, I checked RRL(Response Rate Limiting)

Hi All
I wouldn't mind a little info on bsdconfig. I couldn't so far seem to find
what I was looking for. I have a FreeBSD 11.0 server up and running fine. I
added an additional drive and wanted to format and initialize the drive. I
thought bsdconfig could do this but strangely, I can't seem to. It
