There is way too much misinformation here.
named probes the kernel to work out if it supports IPv6 or not.
named -4 turns off IPv6 so there is no need to disable it at
compile time.

You can then commit local changes. This can also make it
easy to roll back to your previous build state. This should

The usual answer is that a process has a unlinked file open
however as you went to single user this would have eliminated
this. Are you swapping to a file on /var?

You will note that the usage figure is identical by both methods.

machine lockups. The WiFi led now binks though if you turn
the radio off it stays lit / off depending apon the state
it was in at the time. This is still better than not
lighting at all.
