I have a problem with RELENG_8 (FreeBSD/amd64 running a GENERIC kernel, last
built 2012-02-08). It will panic during the daily periodic scripts that run at
3am. Here is the most recent panic message:
Fatal trap 9: general protection fault while in kernel mode

What's the status of Linuxulator 2.6.16? I believe FreeBSD 7 still
uses the older 2.4 version and the 2.6.16 support has to be explicitly
enabled. I was hoping to check out Flash 9 via ports.

Hi,
I MFCed some fixes to the linuxulator today. One major change is
correcting the handling of the linux mmap function. This may break some
not so good programmed audio programs (mostly some few bad behaving
games). If you get hit by this, don't be afraid. The MFC of a change to

The LINUX emulator.
A bit of research would have told you that..

I have tried "truss" on server process, but could not find anything
helpful :-(. I'll try ktrace.
No luck with linux_base-7 (From FreeBSD-5.2.1 CD). Also I cannot build
linux_k

I can't really suggest anything except for compating version of linux_base you
are using. It may be worth ktrace'ing the server (use the linux_kdump port to
interpret the result)
Also perhaps you should consider trying to use NUT with the UPS (since it's
open source)

Hello,
I have recently upgraded (via complete install) both our server from
FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE to
FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE and I got strange problem.
We are using PowerWare 9125 UPS, and PowerWare does not have FreeBSD
version of UPS monitoring software. They have
Linux version which worked very
truss idt' I receive a "SIG 20" whenever I try to push a button.
Does anyone else have problems with the Linuxulator after the horrible SMP problems?
Maybe this problem is not related to the SMP problem, but it is very suspicous that
it occured after this problem occured due the fact w
