since a few days i have trubles on one server when running the daily amanda
backup. This was running fine since over 6 Month and now dump, called by
amanda, always returns:

i have searched alot for a software to:
- distribut configuration files from one master to different systems
- maintain configuration files on one machine for all systemes and then send
it out
- push the files, not download them like cvsup
- maintaining files for all systems and files only

i have some 4.10 systems with local connected serial terminals. now the
problem is, that the terminal should connect to a remote host when they
are switched on and prompt for the login at the romote host.
the way of loging in at the local host and then do a telnet to
remote-host is not a real
I found out, when using upd instead of tcp it works.

i had the verion 1 of the freenet6 client running for a long time. now,
after upgrading to 2.1.1 on a 5.2.1 box the tspc client dumps core. it
sometime sets the tunnel up and the the tunnel works fine and it is possible

8139 cards. these cards worked fine with 4.x and 5.2.1. the network is
slowing down heavily without seeing any problems reports on console or

build a few 5.3 boxes and found a problem which never occured before with
vinum.
when creating a new box (mirror only) the p1 plexes are stale till they are
synced the first time. with gvinum when starting in multi user mode:

Hello,
on a box with 3 re interfaces i get a lot of watchdog timeouts and
stopping/clow connections. only found 1 or 2 postings with the same problem,
but not much replys. the box worked great with 4.x.
any suggestions would be very appreziated.

well. after everything is done the sent harddisk can be removed and the
system work with the original hardware. Everything else then a fresh install
and formating with ufs2 looks like to make no sence.

as far as i have found in the archives 4.x doesnt support if alias in jails.
is current already to be used on a production box where this is needed? want
to avoid to setup 5 jails to have the needed 5 IPs?
