I have a problem with my pc booting up. About 70% of the time, the console
display freezes at the boot menu. The system still boots and I can ssh into
the box and it will still serve web pages.
I assume it is a problem with my hardware. I have tried an ubuntu live cd
and it behaves similarl
I have no sound anymore, from anything, no matter what device I point an
application at.
Today I have no sound with a new world/kernel:

configure: error: The skins2 module depends on a the Qt4 development
package. Without it you won't be able to open any dialog box from the
interface, which makes the skins2 interface rather useless. Install the
Qt4 development package or alternatively you can also configure with:
--disable-qt4

created this decade can handle RulesDuJour fine. Personally I think your
main problem is that your effectively spam checking every message twice. The
spamassassin queues most likely get filled followed by sendmail having to
wait and queue up the sl

also want to use an SGML variant like HTML or XML, but those can be
tedious to manually edit. For quick messages, Plain ASCII text is much better
unless you need a different character set. In that case, Unicode text will
probably work.

I've never *needed* to install CPAN on
FreeBSD. A little creative searching has revealed that most perl packages
are part of the FreeBSD Ports collection.
If you use more obscure CPAN packages, I can see there might be a need to
install CPAN, but try ports first.

Your cd burner software should have an option to create a cd from an image.
This is different than just copying files to a bland cd-rom. Look in the
'File' drop-down menu.

deal of interest.

My server had some apps running that should not have been there. You have a hacker

I can't seem to mount my CD drives, in particular my dvd-cdrw. I'm
