Hello all, and thanks for your replies.
Please let me explain myself a little more. Im going
to do research in routing protocols, so I created a
switching software for ethernet packets. I plugged 3
computers (a, b, c), all of them running R5.4, in the
following manner:
a connects to c.
b connec
(10.0.1.2): 56 data bytes
--- 10.0.1.2 ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet
loss

Hello, everybody
Is there any limit as of how many interfaces can
freebsd handle? Im trying to build a switch in a PC
box, putting multiple NICs and some software... The
issue is, even though all of the cards work correctly
by themselves, once I put them together, it doesnt
matter what slots i use
ckets. It's not actually
important at this point, but it would be nice if it
weren't that way.
Again, thank you all

messages appear all at once.
Is this normal pcap behaviour, or is it some
FreeBSD-specific behaviour, or is it just me?
Thank you again

Hello all,
I know this may sound funny, but I'm still wrestling
with libpcap because I send packets and I cannot read
them. I tried also some example code of a toy sniffer
from a tutorial to pcap, and it behaves just like my
code. As my code is pretty compact, I'm posting it
here.
I'm sending
hat behaviour
Thank you very much!!

Hello all
I'm doing research on network-layer protocols, so I
need a way to send packets straight into layer 2. So
far i've been reffered to raw sockets, but i've read
the code and i cannot skip header checking and that
stuff... Is there a way to interact with the network
if in a way that I can
