t on the KVM. When I switch
back my mouse acts a bit odd for a moment (the sync errors) and then
resets itself and seems to work fine. I'm much happier with a
momentarily flaky mouse *with* a mousewheel than a non-flaky mouse
without one.

mouse and adding a signal handler to moused to force a reset, but that
seems kind of silly when the kernel driver can detect the problem itself
and resolve it. On the other hand, maybe that's the right way to go?
