Can anyone provide a clue on how to try to rescue the system? Clearly,

Any help appreciated. I really need virtualbox. I think I may force it to

Very rude breaking the ABI without a version bump to the library. It might
have been an error and a 7.73.1 may appear soon. rebuilding VB after
updating curl does not help. You need to go back to curl-7.72.0.

In brief, it says:
1. It only works on a limited set of operating systems
2. When it works, it works poorly
3. It has seen little use (as of 2012) and was unlikely to be enhanced or

the kernel is rebuilt. You won't forget.
Caveat: This will fail for "make reinstallkernel" as the ports Mk files
lack a reinstall target, but it seems that relatively few people are aware
that this target even exists, even though it can be very useful.

Also plays for me on Firefox 5.0 and

For this reason I suspect it is not FreeBSD specific. Has anyone seen
reports on this elsewhere? It actually happening started on 4.0.6. Never
saw it on 4.0.4, but it had MU

I have deleted the wrapper configuration and re-installed the plugins,
but it did not make a difference.
Any pointers on what to look at?

Congratulations on the good work to both the FreeBSD porters and the
main VirtualBox teams!

Many thanks for all of the work that went into getting a modern version
of Skype working!
Please put the information in this message (or at least most of it) into

I have had VMs simply deadlock.
The problems I have seen are all upstream, not FreeBSD specific. I see
the same issues when I use my Ubuntu VM running on Windows7. 4.0.6 is
MUCH more stable than 4.0.4.
I think it's reasonable to update the port.

I ma also having LOT of crashes of the VM. I just get a Win7 popup
telling my that the VM has unexpectedly exited and do I want to report
it to Microsoft. After the stability of the v3 B, this is very
disappointing.
I'll admit to being very nervou

just what you want for the default. Similar commands are available for
other shells.
BTW, If you have an F10 VM, you might find it VERY popular if you can
build a current Linux pango. There is a security vulnerability in the
last F10 RPM of this, so having a patched RPM for it
current, so 8.1 should not be a problem at all.

can do 'make config' for other
ports, you should be able to do it for virtualbox-ose.

I am currently running the devel version, 3.1.51.r27187 on my 8-stable
system. Seems to be working fine. I see that 3.1.4 is now in the main
ports.
Am I better off staying with devel or should I force it to 3.1.4?
