e. rsync is 2.5.6_1...
So was there some change in the port in the previous, say 9 months that
would have chance this behavior? I don't need the daemon running, so I don't
have the rsync.conf file set up -- but I didn't back when it was working.
Any clues?

In addition we had to migrate all our mysql servers from freebsd to debian
because they were hitting some arbitary OS limit but I could never figure
out what, sys% usage went through the roof when this limit was hit, issue
didnt occur on debian. I feel recently freebsd is more focused on
ernet card works well under 4.0

Anyone in the current folks know why I might be getting problems with
FreeBSD on an Adaptec 1540 controller?
The machine works fine on 2.2.8 and 2.2.6, but dies a horrible screeching
halt when installing 3.3 or 4.0. It literally just locks up solid when
3.3 or 4.0 probes the machine during the
ck. It did that from the 3.3-RELEASE and the 4.0-19990918 snap
(if I have my numbers correct on the snap). I don't think I tried
3.0/3.1/3.2 on it.
Thanks
Bob

t about doing it on my own anyway so
if no one wants the change, I'll just keep it for my own systems. =)
If nothing else, I'm very curious to see how small I can get a Scheme
implementation..
