Uh, yes, it is most definitely a mechanical keyboard. Unfortunately,
they don't make them any more - Logitech apparently decided that there
was more money to be made on gaming accessories than on quality mice and
keyboards.
Nice work Tim, would get few as soon as they are out there :)

know that some people would prefer the other one.
As far as using in FreeBSD goes, I suppose it's a matter of personal
opinion; but, as you said, whe
I'd say it's roughly 50/50 at the moment; most of the replies regarding
this stuff have been in the ##freebsd channel in FreeNode.

Is Beastie really that preferred to the horned sphere/circle logo?

Alright, I've told them to check with the foundation.
And regarding the keycaps, unfortunately they only work with the Cherry MX
switches (n.b.: many non-Cherry keyboards use those, but your UltraX
doesn't look like a mechanical keyboard, and thus definitely doesn't use
those switches; that said,

The author of the modern logo has vanished without a trace (before

The company only deals with laser etching and engraving, so these will be
the options.
And as stated in my last email (BTW, made a typo there: meant "only* the

will be made available.
I suppose it is time to post the link;
Which method of legend printing do you plan on using? I'd be worried that
even that level of detail
would be difficult to execute well with laser etching.
Although Beastie is the beloved mascot of freeBSD, what about using the
simpler horned-sphere/

In the meantime, any comments as to which of these should he use (n.b.: on

Hey there. A few days ago, I asked a company which makes customized keycaps
(for the Cherry MX keys) if they'd consider adding a FreeBSD logo to their
selection of OS keycaps (aka the Windows/Super/Command keys), to complement
the Amiga and Linux variants that they have (plus the usual Mac, and the
