When I ask these recepiends to check the same mail but for instance
through a Web portal, they then can see the attachment.
Anybody knows how I can correct this and where it comes from?

wrangled into the base64.
Anyone has a script/exmh "plugin" to handle such messages in a way
it would only quote the text part in plain text, and not encoded?
