Many thanks. I had actually tried that and it had failed but I've
subsequently worked out what was going wrong. The worksheet I was
copying from was protected. I just needed to unprotect first and it
all works fine now.

I have a rather long macro that controls and limits the printing
process for the end user. It works okay but after running and you
return to the spreadsheet the screen is very slow to refresh as you
scroll around the worksheet.

I had an xlsm workbook that was shared and very slow even though the
file size was only 3000 K. This file took around 3 minutes to open or
save. After removing the custom views that had been automatically
created by users editing the sheet, the file size went down to
200K ... opening now takes 4 se

I'm working with variables that hold three decimal point numbers such
as .001 and 3.185. Excel VBA seems to add extra digits to these
variables so that instead of -0.004 the value is -0.0040018998981
for example.
I've tried adding lots of rounding statements everytime I work with
the variable
But it's not a formula in the cell.

that just take up space in spreadsheets that I get from external
sources. ie: data is in 1 column(A), rows 1-10, if you place a cursor
in A1 and hit end down, you go to cell A64000.
