A couple of things here: The original request was a result that changed the "dd.mm." format to "mm/dd/" If you were ONLY wishing to replace the "." with "/", then you wouldn't need the "nested" substitutes: =SUBSTITUTE(A3,".","/") would replace all of the occurrences of the "." the =Mid
