Did you verify that the server IS responding to LDAP? I had the same
error once and cursed up Evolution until I realized that other LDAP
programs weren't working either.

y - the All-Day "toggle" won't stick. It always
reverts to a time-based appointment.

I experienced exactly the same thing under Suse 9.3, FC4, and *possibly*
Ubuntu (memory is fading). As soon as the exchange account was set-up,
Evolution crashed every time on startup. I didn't feel I had enough to
"go on" to file a bug.
