Just a shot in the dark, but do you have the evolution-exchange package
installed?
Also, I have seen a quirk in exchange where sometimes "art" is OK, other
times, I have to use "a...@rhd.org", and
settings when using exchange, because most of
the work is on the server anyway, and setting up the connection is
trivially easy. I only try to transfer mail if it is POP, or filters if
they are complex. You avoid a lot of problems that way.

Please tell me that this will get attention, and possibly get fixed,
with the next release. I have been OK with living with it, but it is
really starting to get annoying. I have no coding skills, but will help

The difference is the configuration of this list, and not the difference
between kmail and evo.
There is a reply to list command in both with a key combo, but I am reading

This is in addition to the unread message count bug. This one is more
serious because it prevents access to read mail in the inbox.
I currently have about 5000 it

is a standard that an email client can use to strip the signature from replies.
Compliant clients add that to the signature. I don't know if that is what you
are seeing as I am on my phone and not near evo right

The only two features I use in outlook that I can't do in Evo are storing
filters (rules) on the exchange server so they are executed independent of the
client, and custom forms for scheduling. We use the latter to book conference

Of course, if your mail provider offers imap or exchange, you needn't need to
do anything special as the mail folders stay on the host and can be accessed
