I managed to install anjal by doing "zypper refresh" and "zypper install
anjal" from command line. But I still get same error while starting

I have enabled "synchronize remote mails locally" option so I assume
that all mails are downloaded to disk. But still opening a mails is
terribly slow. If my internet connection is slow then why it takes a
long time to show the mail which is already downloaded?

I think this is good idea. Downloading mails in background with enhanced
mechanism will make it faster also. I think kmail and thunderbird are
already doing it. I already filed a bug long ago regarding evolution
performance.

I've reported this bug that evolution doesn't detect google calendar
invites and hence doesn't offer options to accept the event.
