Thank you for your prompt response. Your comments make sense but any
idea why it disrupts the incoming message formatting as well? The
received message should be seen exactly as it was sent with same
formatting, shouldn't it?
If we receive mail having table, borders are gone even if sender sent
table with borders. If we want to write something in the table while
replying then we have to set the table border manually. And sometimes it
doesn't even recognize as a table and hence we can't do any table
formatting. 

Can anyone guide me how to improve html and rich text formatting support
in evolution?

I doubt the Evo developers consider it an issue. Making Evo understand
every kind of document out there and obey its formatting rules is
something way beyond its spec. This kind of thing works (up to a point)
in Windows, because of the underlying OLE model, but there's nothing
comparable in the Unix/Linux world.

The way to pass random documents around is via attachments.
