When I had this problem, it was due to a bug in WebkitGTK. To fix, you
need to have WEBKIT_FORCE_SANDBOX set to 0, as in:
WEBKIT_FORCE_SANDBOX=0 evolution
That solved it for me. You should be able to search for related
articles regarding WEBKIT_FORCE_SANDBOX and Evolution.

authentication. The properties
window lets you change anything except associated password.
Short of deleting the old calendar and recreating it, is there an easy
way to set or have Evolution ask for a new password?

2) Can't add to a vfolder since it's not the real folder. You can add
to a shortcut since it just points to a real folder.
I can't believe this useful feature was taken out just to make Evolution
look more like Outl
ve done is have the type of file I want to associate in a
directory, start up nautilius, and then right click on that file (open
with...) and set up the mime type assocation there.

Disclaimer: All
ral levels down is a pain. In Evolution 1.4, I had
different groups of shortcuts I was able to set up. I would like to
recreate that if possible (or if there is a better way to get that
functionality, not would be fine).
Thanks in advance for any help given.
