i would be nice to have a time range applied to filters because when i
open my mail in the morning, i have to wait some 10 mins for all the
mail to get filtered by folders and the sounds playing... to get around

The FollowUp flag is a quite prominent tool in other "mail clients" like
gmail.app or Outlook and gives me a nice workflow for further
processing.
In Evolution I created a search folder with followup mails, which is
also described in the documentation:

I have found the reference to the UID. It appears to be in
.config/evolution/mail/state.ini. What is the best way to remove this?
Presumably this can be hand edited, but probably evolution and possibly
other things should not be running while that happens. Is there a safer
way?
