In my case evince is to blame. It doesn't start: missing
libpoppler-glib.so.2!
I couldn't emerge that libpoppler-glib.so.2 so I tried to point the
'document viewer' to an other application like kpdf or so. In vain!!
Double click in Konqueror works because Konqueror uses kpdf, xpdf
document viewer
