In my experience converting a VW or similar car, when using a AC motor, best
advice is to keep the tranny and go clutch less using 3rd gear only.

That's what my customers are doing. That's what Tesla is selling for a whole
lot more. Be careful connecting anything between your solar inverter and the

I have done many conversions using the Focus, as well as Leaf, Volt and Bosch
(13,16,Fiat500e)
My favorite is the Volt since the module is 48vdc and a socket for the BMS.
Focus is good also as it comes in a 16vdc module.
Bosch seems to be the highest quality and comes in 48vdc modules with BMS

the modules disassembled in order to install modules to specific areas
available.
Wires to the cells for the BMS will have to be cut and spliced for the BMS
connection with HV wires of small gauge running all over the conversion.
This is historically a bad idea. There should be NO exposed PCB assemblies,
and who wants to attach one to each and every cell like Mini BMS? One again,
bad idea.

quality bearings. The encoder is available by ordering from US Digital.
The rear bearing is easy to replace, but I am sure that yours is OK The

have brought them to me for disassembly only to find out the battery had
been shorted before the test to avoid a fire, which can easily
happen in a Leaf. The Junkie says tough luck. You cannot work on the battery

You will NOT find Curtis VCL available as a download, as it is only available
to OEM and closely guarded. The only way to solve your problem which I
