Hi Ben,
you correctly analyzed that this has something to do with the space
character after the the dot. Org considers a number with a dot as an
ordered list bullet only if it is followed by a space character.
Otherwise, any number like 1.23 at the beginning of a line would be

Hi Bart,
No, this does not exist, because normally line numbers are moving
around and therefore are not very useful as long-term search targets.
You can pretty easily hack this, though:
Lets say you want to have line numbers for links to any files in c-

This is strange. I have various computers running Ubuntu Hardy and 6.02b
has installed fine on all of them except one. I get the following error
when compiling:
Loading 00debian-vars...
No /etc/mailname. Reverting to default...
Loading /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50autoconf.el (source)...

Hi everybody,
This is a minor "bug". The PDF document uses a different type of quote
than what emacs expects. For instance, if I cut and paste from the
manual I get this:
(define-key global-map "\C-cr" ’org-remember)
instead of
(define-key global-map "\C-cr" 'org-remember)
They look the same

Place this in your .org file. I keep it near the top:
#+STARTUP: showall
Search the manual for "startup" for more options.
