Public bug reported:
Have installed calibre in Ubuntu 20.04 via using "software" (and after first
crashes also using synaptic).
It doesn't start at all and immediately gives a crash report.
(Since other issues about Calibre crashing are more than 1 year old, I
post this new bug)

Compare the output you get when starting calibre in the terminal with the

If it is the same, please mark your bug a duplicate of that one (and see
discussion in that bug for ways to workaround issue).

I went to look at the Calibre-site, and there it is said that it's
better to install / download Calibre using the following instruction:
