Affects me; can be worked around by restarting the graphical manager.
On a laptop, putting the machine into hibernation by closing the lid
rectifies the situtation by (seemingly) restarting Unity, although it
will freeze again if window spread is used again.

Just after I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 with unity ubuntu 14:04 by cd I had no
more sound notifications, notifications from social networks like twitter and
facebook if there are those that can be found in friends and I would get back
if possible! If you need to know were not
Stephen, that sounds weird. Why not try to fix cairo instead of
blacklisting characters in dash? Is that bug reported to upstream?
Anyway, hangul is definitely not in burmese area. Wrong sign of inequality in
code caused this bug.

I confirm this bug is fixed. However, I have noticed an issue when ANY
webapp is open (or even webbrowser-app), touchscreen functions are
severely limited, i.e. unable to single tap to click on touchscreen and
multitouch gestures in Unity cease to function.
Functionality inside the webapp is fine,
The code is at lp:~jincreator/unity/lp1251193 and you can easily test by
adding ppa:jincreator/unity on trusty.

Try hitting the host key (right-ctrl) then ctrl-alt-arrow to switch to a
different desktop other that your Windows vm desktop. Then click around
on the calendar/login widgets in the upper right, just get them to pop.
