I think the design needs to be adjusted some for this. There is no
concept of a "minimized" Dash. The Dash is either opened or closed.
The following needs Design input:
- If the Dash is open, what happens to the Dash the first time Ctrl-
Super-D is hit? Does is stay open or should it close?

If I am in a dark room and using the phone, I like to move the
brightness down to the dimmest value via the indicator. If I'm using an
app that requires concentration (eg, playing Sudoku) the screen might
dim even further while I'm thinking (somewhat odd in and of i
saviq, just to be explicit, currently this is not exposed via the
indicator (I think that is what you meant by 'meant' :).

I just updated to 13.10 and was hit by this bug, so I coded a patch that
introduces a new configuration setting and menu alternative to prefer
