In my case, I'm using Colemak layout for english and Persian layout for
typing in Farsi.
When in Colemak (en) I can use normal shortcuts (say I can use Ctrl+O to
open files and since I'm using colemak, I use the key with the ";" sign
on it with ctrl key because
I have a sort of similar issue: In a multiple monitor setup, whenever a
menu pops up (such as using the menu bar or the overlay from Firefox's
address bar) the shell appears over the VLC fullscreen view and goes
when the menus close.

have the same error with the bluetooth applet, what kind of bugfix is
needed there?

I let gimp sit open with focus for about 5 minutes with no change in free/used
memory and no unity-panel-service problems.
I then opened an image in Gimp and let it sit with focus for another 5 minutes.
There was no issues with memory or unity-panel-serv
Thanks; I don't think separate indicators are necessarily the right
solution, but having one icon for all sorts of messages is unworkable
for me; I respond differently to IMs than I do emails. I'm also not
advocating this be a default, but it might be nice to configure it to
have one icon per membe

It has indeed been fixed that the panel is no longer on top of a presentation.
But I think this bug is about adding an option to permanently hide the panel on
a monitor.
That would be useful in our use case, where the audience always sees the
second monitor whether there is a presentation running
2 days after you... It's back for me as well. Today fresh boot as I do every
day and one of my 2 computers is back to hiding the global menus from me.

and doing a killall indicator-session-service, it still doesn't work.
Hibernate does not appear and in fact the restart option goes away as

I can confirm that Sublime Text 3 is a good candidate to notice this
problem. Just accessing the global menu can dramatically increases CPU

Actually there is no need to minimize the original Nautilus window to
reproduce this bug. All it takes is the Nautilus window loosing focus,
e.g. when changing to another application and then attempting to get
back to the Nautilus window showing an external drive.

jefferyto's workaround in #13 works on my Xubuntu system. Hibernate is
avaible from the Session Menu without needing to kill indicator-session-
service.
Hibernation is also availbale in the lightdm login screen ON FIRST BOOT
only. If I return to the lighdm login screen when I log out of my

Problem confirmed on 13.10.
I can make the problem happen systematically (at present) by loading a
large and complex document into LibreOffice. LO starts repaginating, and
then the unity-panel-service goes into its busy loop.

I'm on the same page as Matthias, I think. I started to look into
merging this today, but I ran into a few issues that would be better
enumerated using bugzilla. If you could attach the individual patches
that would be great.

using a few webapps (5 or 6) at the same time at some point these seem
to get SIGKILLed in the bakground by the OOM watcher. if they get re-
initalized they seem to come up without any hud support (before the hud
has back/forward/reload, after the hud is empty)

I think that this bug is currently fixed. I can see the || (g_strcmp0
(prg, "gwyddion") == 0) in the saucy source code for unity-gtk-module

I have an Ubuntu machine that is running synergyc. I connect it to a
Windows 7 synergy server.
After a reboot, there is no mouse pointer displayed when I move the
mouse in the appropriate direction from the synergy server. I can see
buttons display their mouse-over animation,
