Check filesystem permissions on the location. The user dovecot is
running under needs to be able to write there. Otherwise check dmesg as
t and Exim setup.

so chooses uses it's own
directory structure under that. Considering that by default dovecot uses
dovecot/dovecot.conf and dovecot/conf.d I don't see anything wrong here.
