Hi, if you have only one pair of servers, I think replication via dovecot's dsync (or doveadm via ssh) where each server holds all emails as a local storage would be easiest.  There is a caveat with shared folders though. And dovecot replicates only emails. The index is not included, which means

Today I have tested quota count with quota_clone and noenforcing option with dovecot Version 2.3.3 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and it didn´t work, similary with dovecot Version 2.2.33 on Ubuntu 18.04.LTS. The plugin "quota_warning" didn´t work with noenforcing and quota count. Kind regards Stephan V
