Hi. I'm new to Dovecot and about to start using it in production. In
the config file, I set the option, auth_debug_passwords, to yes. I do
not see any failed passwords logged, however. It did cause more verbose
authentication logging, but failed passwords are still hidden.

I looked at the rawlog output. The dovecot server is doing fine. It is
responding normally to the FETCH commands, but after a few batch fetches,
the Entourage server closes connection.

You could set auth_username_format = %Lu. That doesn't need Dovecot
v1.0+, but v1.0+ is highly recommended anyway.
