This can be done GeoIP but it can be done in a different way I have done
one before that was with REST API, all you have to do if you don't want to
depend on any third library is to have a device model which stores the user
and IP then whenever the user login saves it.
So with this, you have all th
I think you have to give that user permission.
Like 'sudo chown -R root:root /home/dominic/app' or sudo chown -R
dominic:dominic /home/dominic/app

I think this has to be like you are trying to add some model whose field is
not recognizable I have the same issue when using geodjango.
If you delete the DB.sqlite3 sometimes it won't work or even deleting the
migrations won't also work.
If that happens just run,
1. python manage.py makeigrations
You can try dropbox that is what I used to serve my media files in django

Using the 1.4 beta on my workstation to perform a startproject yields
a different result than what I was expecting.
I end up with:
__init__.py
manage.py
settings.py
urls.py
mysite/
__init__.py
settings.py
urls.py
When according to the documentation @
https://docs.djangoproject.com/en
es are what they are supposed to be.
Any ideas?
I mostly need adminfiles as a simple tool to integrate images in Blog-
Posts. Does anybody have another recommendation for a good (easy) way
to handle this task?
Thanks in advance

Ok, I see this must be initiated just as shown in the documentation,
in the views.py file. I have managed to get this far:
from django.
tance=author
And thought, "ok, that works great in the interpreter, but how do I
put it into my system?" Does it go in forms.py? views.py?
If it's forms.py, how do I structure it?
I guess I'm just not getting it. Will try a load of trial and error

Hi all,
I've been working fruitlessly all day attempting what I though would
be a simple task: Adding a sub form/inline form so that I can have two
related forms displaying on the same page tied to models in a one-to-
many relationship.
This was very easy to do in the admin, but now I am attempt
Guys,
A brief google search has led me to conclude that it's not possible to
filter on a foreign key field in the Admin.
Can anyone explain the design rationale around that? Filtering by anything
but a foreign key value is usuless in many of my models. To give you a
concrete example: I have a Pro
Guys,
Just had the strangest thing happened.
Finished working on my project last night and everything was working fine. I
backed up the directory using tar, log on today and start my development
server and get the following error message:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "manage.py",
