I wasn't aware such a package exists since there's no mention of it on the
openvswitch site and I did search through apt-cache, but it seems the
European mirrors I use don't have the package :
root@debianovs:~# apt-get install

We wouldn't release OVS with known restart issues, so I'm not aware of any.
There are some platforms, such as XenServer, which purge parts of the
configuration database on restart to repopulate it with data from their own
database. However, your issues seem much more fundamental. It doesn't a

Those files aren't mutually exclusive. The INSTALL.RHEL file will contain more
information specific to Redhat, which is probably useful for your environment.

It doesn't seem like your kernel module is built properly. Are you ever able
to pass traffic?
Can you provide more information about your setup? For example, what OS you
