I see a OFPT_PORT_STATUS message when a port goes down, e.g. when I run
"ifconfig eth0 down".

As per openflow specification, if port config bits are changed by the
switch through another administrative interface, the switch sends an
OFPT_PORT_STATUS message to notify the controller of the change. Does OVS
supports this functionality?
If OVS doesn't support this then how a switch
