Unfortunately, you don't have a GPU with drm drivers, but are using a
drm layer for "dumb framebuffers" (simpledrm). This replaced fbdev
drivers in Fedora 36 (see
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/ReplaceFbdevDrivers).

Go to settings/Displays/resolution and see if that changed your aspect ratio

Only with regards to the display issue: did you try changing the display
resolution, then back again? If some of the display HW parameters got
messed up (horizontal timing, e.g.), that might restore them.
