I downloaded the cvs version, and got it to compile after fixing a
couple of things.
I found that classes in UML shapes put heaps and heaps of space at the
end of member functions. I think this has something to do with the fact
that you can now set fonts per class.

I use Dia for UML, too. If you don't want to read all of my long response,
be sure to read the part about Dia's file format.

The latest version I use is the 0.89 Windows pre-release, so YMMV.

Well, I have to tell you that I use Slackware 8.0 and the source for my Dia pkg is the sources of it. Actually the last stable version, as it is said in the web page. Leo.

Actually dead keys does not work, the same as the other ways I tried. However, the main problem is that I need to use the kb, and It is not working at all in this matter... Leo.

For a little while, I was saving my UML diagrams as
uncompressed and checking them into CVS. I wasn't very
disciplined and there was little value, since I was the
only one working on it, so I stopped.

programmatically, the output would be pretty cons

your main problem would be conflicts: youd need a conflict
resolution system
Diff doesn't actually know anything about the semantics

Ok, enclosed. It's certainly far not complete a list of such places, but

Now that I am sure my email messages are getting through to this list.
:-) Would anyone have a solution to this dilemma?
And please.. if the answer is: no, we have never seen this problem
before.. let me know! :-)
Thanks!

Is there any idea when there will be an official release for Dia for Linux?

We're hoping to make a new release quite soon, so we have a stable
background when we start hacking the UI. Can't give a date, though.

I have but one thing on my agenda: Make compression a save-time option in
the dialog.
Well, and make sure it compiles in various configurations.
