Allowing for custom values will make analysis e.g. in pivot table and
event reports a bit tricky I think since lots of values would be outside
the defined set of options . I would say we should confine it to values
in the option set. For free-text one can create another data element.

that the data type is wrong is provided. The system should rather

Analytics has no effect, let me try to give you some more details:
· Event reports on individual cases work, but when swapping to
aggregated cases gives the 409 conflict. The aggregated case table doesn't show.
· When downloading, only the first entry is in the export

More details would be nice.
Often, the 409 conflict happens when there is a mismatch in identifiers.
And I guess this is related to the earlier problem you reported, that all
your program instances are deleted. Try to re-run the analytic and see what
happens.
