We (the KiCad project) do not provide MacOS builds for older MacOS

Technically you are correct. However, AFAICT this only affects
connections at the sheet pin boundary which can be handled on the
current sheet.
For example lets say you have a shared sheet which has a single sheet
pin connected to a symbol output pin defined as sheet A and sheet B.
