Hi Ronni,
indeed it would be great to get a tentative timeframe for the availability
of paid apps in Jolla Harbour!

If Harbour will have an alternate paying methods such as Paypal and etc.
it will be acceptable.

Thanks a lot, Chris,
the "Requires" section in the .yaml file was indeed missing an svg
entry, so now I added "qt5-qtsvg" which resulted in a "Requires:
qt5-qtsvg" entry in the .spec file. But still, RPM dependency
resolving failed in the deployment step.

Well. As Harmattan havent copy protection at all, developers started
creating own methods for detecting if application is *really* bought by
user. And it was done using osa binaries. You can always get application
source, and if it osa - application installed from Store (means paid

Hoi Alessandro
That is strange.
First I did a zypper rm qt5-qtsvg to remove qtsvg from my Emulator.
Then I built and run my test app (wiht qt5-qtsvg in the Requires:
section of the .yaml /.spec files).
I get this:

Hello,
Some questions concerning Android application submission to Jolla Harbour:
1) What Android API levels are supported?
2) Are Android applications that utilize Play Services compatible with
SailfishOS (e.g., use Android notifications etc.)
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
OK, this was my error: I had used the latest Offline SDK installer,
but did not run the available Emulator update. With the latest
Emulator image (and the right requirements in .yaml and .spec),
everything now runs fine for me. Great! :) Thanks for Your help.

well. IMEI checkings is bad idea. device id is better.
Also its good to have "Beta versions" in Harbour, to allow selected
lists of users install beta packages. Similar to WP store feature :)
And i'm voting for "Gift!" button in self application options, to allow

Hi,
I know all the attention is going to the Jolla Harbour but do you have any idea

Well, indeed it's better than the hour is spent to provide better apps for
Sailfish than to do some freaky copy-protection, finally broken by some
talented hacker (If iOS is jailbroken, WAT in Win7 broken, why should
Jolla's library avoid that?)
... Or to spend this hour to bring xwayland! ;)

Now-free scheme like in Apple AppStore would certainly diminish the piracy
scale - it's a great think and I think it should be available for devs.

The N9 costed $650 and generally wasn't subsidized, so it certainly wasn't a
phone for 'poor people'. How could have a person afforded a $650 smartphone

Maybe Humble Bundle strategy then? Pay as more as you can and then you
can get apps you want :)

I guess that Ronni of Jolla confirmed that it won't, and at this point I
