The active discussion about BiggerESP is relevant to this decision. It's

le and promote it through
the F38 cycle. Maybe as part of the respin process in F38. The more
comfortable everyone is with this change, before the F39 release day, the
more likely this change will be well received.

Please include improving the Koji integration before making this change.
Those of use that spelunk around the automatic image creation would be
greatly appreciative.

f the build artifact. I'd like to see all of that
presented similar to a build that packagers are used to (e.g.

is more a Koji enhancement, but I still question moving this proposal
forward without addressing the buildsys UX/U

Yes, close.
Could it be possible that all changes are only recorded COW and after
reboot they are discarded?

Stephen,
Maybe. I was thinking more:
1. Boot Silverblue
2. All userspace is in RAM
3. Reboot
4. See step 1

For example, let's install `dnf install tuxpuck`. I'd expect `tuxpuck` to
be installed and playable. I wouldn't have to reboot after layering this
using ostree.
I'd just like t
e sense to use alternatives for this?
It might be more work than it's worth. However, it would be nice to have
`dnf4`, `dnf5` and `dnf` commands all available with the default easily
configurable.

I would also be willing to co-maintain this package, but the current

This seems like a reasonable default. Does it also make sense to add some
CLI UI niceties that:
* Let's the user know this check may be skipped with "--nogpgcheck" with a
brief explanation of the risk
* Allow the user to continue the transaction with only t
ning my existing
packages.
Where I have felt the process lacks is automated coordination with the
package maintainers.

Mark,
You likely just need to scrub mock to clean out the dnf4 based bootstrap. A
fresh one with dnf5 will be automatically downloaded.

While it does *feel* better, both options effectively remove any UEFI
Secure boot protections.
Unless the private key is off-system, anything will be able to be loaded
