ABI stability is entirely dependent on compiler version, AFAIK. Within the same
version of rustc there should be no issues with dynamic linking, of course
whenever we upgrade rustc we'd need a mass rebuild of every rust package but
we'd have to do the same thing with static linking.

Rust supports dynamic linking, would it be worth investigating that route
instead of copying the proposed Go guidelines? I'm not against static linking
at all costs, but it would make package maintenance (especially security
updates) a lot more pleasant.

Rust uses LLVM for codegen, so in theory, yes. This excludes any potential
platform-specific bugs that may affect rustc, which are certainly a possibility.

to see if there are any breaking changes would be nice too.

Hello -devel,
My name is Stefan Nuxoll, I am a new member of the Fedora QA team and I am also
looking to join the Package Collection Maintainers. I make heavy usage of
Fedora in my daily life - running Fedora 22 on my Dell XPS 13 for personal use,
in addition to a fleet of CentOS servers for
that runs an application packaged in the collection?

The Fedora project already has a home for unreviewed packages, and
that's Copr, but it seems relatively few people know about it compared
to, say, Ubuntu's PPA's. I don't want to discourage people who truly
