Stats_Over_Http activity wasn’t reported in this way.
Obviously on an ATS instance with any reasonable load, this discrepancy would
be considered noise, but we would like to address it if we can.
Are we missing something, and is there a solution to this issue?
Thanks,
Nick Dunkin

Nick,
See the Parent Proxy Configurations,

ike to confirm that this is not
already supported somehow.

, the final response
would be a 502 because all parents were tried and no other parents are
available. So if you have a total of 5 parents, set max_simple_retries to 4,
Number of parents - 1

Please can anyone provide assistance? Maybe this use case is supported with
strategies.yaml?
Thanks

Subject: Question about Consistent Hash and parent retry
Hi,
I have a question
until it is
available again
Please can someone clarify the exact behavior around Consistent Hash and
unavailable parents? The context here is that we believe we are seeing the
retries on the originally hashed parent occur more often than we would expect.
Many thanks,

We discovered the issue on a production system, and we are going to produce a
minimal repeatable test case in the lab. When we have done that I can post
again if necessary.
Can anybody help us understand what may be going on here?

each “chunk” immediately on to the client, or does it wait until the whole

Hi everyone,
[Apologies for the repost – I got no bites on the “users@” group.]
I need some advice on an architecture we’re trying to support using parent
routing.
The issue we have is that all our “Tier 1” Origins work by redirection of
specific content requests to some external “Tier 2” Cont
insight.
Regards,
Nick Dunkin
