SDL fullscreen works in xmonad, which IIRC doesn't reparent windows either.
Another (small) problem with SDL I've been unable to track down:
there's a race that sometimes prevents programs from noticing that dwm
didn't give them the size they wanted[1].

I like posting in general, yeah.

Yes this can be done with the search engine patch.
Im more interested in actually downloading files properly, if there is a
patch already for it let me know guyse. I have been browsing uzbl wiki
and there are a few scripts to do this but im uncertain about how would

This does the trick, at no line cost. I assume that when compiled, the
two getenv calls can be merged into one, optimisation wise. Not that
it's a major speed problem.

There's a patch for that:
http://surf.suckless.org/patches/searchengines
I'd appreciate its incorporation in the mainline, tho
sic segfaults when USER environment variable is not set (so
getenv("USER") returns NULL):
$ unset USER
$ sic
I can't speak for wmii, but if you make dwm ignore resizehints xterm
behaves exactly like that.
If you insist on keeping resizehints enabled, I don't believe you'll
find a terminal which works like that out of the box.

I hope this idea will not be immediately rejected because it may
remove simplicity.
Just how the URL is set by xprop, after pressing a keyboard shortcut
then typing some search terms, the terms are URL-encoded, then
appended to a fixed url.
Example: Ctrl+K, suckless mailing list, surf's URL is se

Well, resizehints are exactly that, hints. Not an obligation.
It's usually the job of the window manager to respect (or not to
respect) those hints - it's not
something that has to be changed in the implementation of the terminal emulator.

Hello
Does anyone know a terminal emulator that does accept any window
size? I have tried "st" in the hope that it would provide such a feature;
but no luck.
Thanks
