Similar to Nick and others. I have time to pay attention, but not as
much as I'd like to contribute. Always hopeful... So, y, I'm still
interested. Thank you for calling roll and all of your work on POI
and beyond!

Thanks Dave for your response.
The CI builds (on Jenkins) and links to them are provided at
https://poi.apache.org/devel/nightly.html
It might be a good idea to revisit some of those pages to provide some more
detail.
The Github CI build is of limited use because the builds only kick off for
yes, fully aware of many of these points. i'll continue to contribute
when/where able.

I can't devote much time at the moment, but I do plan to come back,
although not sure how soon it will be.
I'm also monitoring the mailing list and use the latest releases at my day
job.

For newbies, the best place to start is https://poi.apache.org/devel/index.html
The documentation is basic but the tools we use are well documented on the web.
Subversion, Git, Gradle.

Hi PJ,
I still monitor the project, and would, as over a decade ago be a third +1, if
needed.
Thank you for your leadership. More inline.

i am not a PMC member, BUT as one of the multitude of contributors interested
in the liveliness of POI, i am curious what is involved with keeping this

Hi everyone,
Apologies if anyone thinks I'm going in the wrong direction here. The TLDR is:
I am asking if PMC members could respond with whether they are still interested
in working on POI or if they are no longer in a position to help.
There appears to only be a couple of POI PMC members that

The code is pretty stable and widely used.
The volunteer community is not big enough to make every change that people

We're not going to remove code that's been there for 12 years.
POI is not very active dev wise any more.
If you want to investigate a solution, please go ahead. Open a new issue if you
want to go this route.
