thread to collect any concern of us flagging this catalog as deprecated.
If I don't receive any objection in the next 5 days, I will go ahead to do
that, and let the default 2 release full deprecation window apply. And I

Hello all,
just wanted to give a heads-up that I started publishing the release candidates
on a separate channel on conda-forge:
https://github.com/conda-forge/pyiceberg-feedstock/tree/rc. Thus, if you want
to test them out with conda/micromamba, you can get them also via
conda -c conda-forge/

Just wanted to avoid confusion for our users :)
Thanks !
Regards
JB

Hey Iceberg Nation,

Hello, Apache Iceberg Rust Community,
This is a call for a vote to release Apache Iceberg Rust version 0.2.0.
The tag to be voted on is 0.2.0-rc.1.
This first release provides integration with the REST catalog and a lot of
scaffolding that's needed for reading the data.
The release candidate:

If we have a very low number of users and propose they move to another
catalog, that makes sense to me.
I think we can first flag DynamodbCatalog as deprecated (providing a
message to the community and give time for users to move forward),
then we can plan a vote later to remove it.
