Another option is to just let the designer explore and put forward ideas of
color/designs that are both modern and differentiated enough from other
frameworks. Martyn is a quite capable, rather senior designer who can do a
brand/color study as a part of these suggestions.

Oh! Zero apologies needed and my bad if my written tone came off harsh.
Sometimes at my company we try to make it clear upfront if we're having a
"bonfire" or "boardroom" chat. A bonfire chat is just a friendlier
exploration of ideas and brainstorming versus a boardroom chat being more

My 2 cents:
I think the blue and yellow theme is the better of the two. For some
reason, the blue and green theme does not work for me.
Grails is a full-stack, convention-over-configuration web framework that

I'm sorry Andrew, you are absolutely right!
I may have misunderstood what feedback is wanted.

I tend to lean towards the orange with the blue. I do like the green for
the legacy and spring related reasons but it doesn't jive well with the

I've been considering making an updated Grails series for some time. I'm
not aware of any modern learning resources out there beyond Grails 3. I'd
be happy to try and put something together if no one has any other resource
recommendations.

Hey everyone,
Thanks so much for the feedback so far - good themes emerging that I’ll use
to anchor the next round of design explorations.
One area I’d love your input on: learning resources.
Are there any standout video tutorials or guides you’d recommend featuring
on the new site?
I’m especial
Fantastic idea, Andrew!
I, for one, would love to see an ideas from a designer rather than design by
committee. Although, if the site refresh is needed quickly then perhaps voting
between the two is the only option. Not sure on the timeline for this? I’d
imagine it isn’t super pressing.

I agree with Gianluca,
I'd love to see Grails back in green too!
I'd also add to the selling points:
- Build full-stack applications fast and easily.

I would love to see Grails 7 getting in touch with its origins to pave
its legacy.
The original green should get back, with the complementary orange links,
supporting the new rounded logo.
On the selling proposition, I would give the following priorities:
