With most enterprise (MS on .NET, Google on Angular, Facebook on React), I
think it should just follow that Adobe perhaps start the process of having
Flash open sourced so that all possible enhancements and security patches
it needs can be performed by a community that believes in its capabilities
Great work Alex! (and to the rest of the guys/gals as well). Keep it up.

I would suggest to accept FlatSpark now, complete the other UI controls
(datagrid, etc.) then integrate it to TourDeFlex so that people will see
the theme in action.

Hi,
Was just wondering if there is a listing (or a sample mobile application)
which provides usage of available components for mobile development?
Thanks.
I received this from dev-h...@flex.apache.org (and I have no idea why I got
it). Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Does the roadmap for the FlatSpark includes providing a way to skin all UI
components of Flex?
I think it would be really good if there's just a simple way to toggle
between the default spark theme and the flat theme when building the
application.

Just one more reason perhaps for Adobe to beef up their *established* AIR
and Mobile technologies alongside their focus on HTML5/JS foray.

Looks good @Alex.
I just hope that the full session, including the apps on your demo for
both sessions would be available to everyone after the event.

I could also suggest that Joe pushes with publishing his examples, even
from his own site at the moment. And if Apache would have no concerns with
the domain in contention here, then he could move the examples there more
properly (and do a redirect from his previous site).

Hi Shivang,
Are you going to release the source code for the app you provided? Lots of
flex devs can get a snippet or two from them. :)

This is great news - especially for people who want to discover the *Flex*

Enterprise software with Flex / Actionscript? You bet!
I am hoping that a site providing more showcase of the new Spark components
will be setup like the one which Pete did on his site.
The current documentation we have is good but more examples will be more
awesome.
Will the Tour De Flex be donated to Apache Flex?

Just for a quick thing, can you right click on your browser where the app
is supposed to be loading and tell us what menu options shows up?
Also in IE 10, from the tools menu, there's a view source option. Can you
paste the source here?

I think one possibility is to call a service or an api from flex that would
emit a url that is composed of parameters containing the user name and
password, and the site should be able to have a JS function which will
peruse those parameters to log in automatically.

I believe this is sort of MS Access for the Web.

Nice site.
flashvhtml.com
In summary, they're both just tools and taking sides with technology gets
you nowhere fast.
If this is really the case, then wouldn't it be best if adobe simply
donates Flash to the community?

Just as a follow up to Martin's question, is Flex being geared up to
compile MXMLs into SWFs and HTML/JS (or an option to select) any from the
two and run across the browser?
I just joined the mailing list and I am drowning a bit in the plethora of
information.

Hi,
I haven't completely subscribed to the development of things so I need to
ask some few questions with regards to MXML compilations.
Previously (using Flex SDK 4.5), I compile my MXMLs like:
mxmlc -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries=false FILENAME.mxml
-output=\\MyOutputFolder -library-path
e one that's used in compiling.
Thank you.
